Lent always seems to be the time of year that I can stick to any promise that I to make myself. I haven't really exercised or cared about healthy eating over the past year so I decided this March I was going to get myself sorted. At the end of February I joined PureGym and have actually gone 3 times a week; already I have increased energy and more motivation. I did freak out a bit in the induction, I just wasn't comfortable walking around a gym with what felt like everyone staring, all those healthy and fit people and I had let myself go. But I tried again and went to another induction a couple of days later and loved it. I'm hoping to build my fitness up a bit and the start taking classes. Having a gym buddy seriously helps though; I've been going to PureGym with my lovely friend Natalie who is kicking my arse and teaching me how to use the squat rack and together we are working on #ProjectPeach.

I have also recently been told that I have several food intolerances (namely dairy, pork and apples) so my diet has totally changed. I am normally very restrictive on Lent; no crap, no white carbs, no coffee, no alcohol. But this year I have been more relaxed as I may have to give up dairy permanently (the thought of which SUCKS) but Im already adjusting- and Oat milk, btw, is delicious.
With only really gently starting into my new regime, I'm already starting to see changes. My aim is to lose 10lbs by June, that's all the weight Ive put on since January 2016. For me that will be getting back to my normal weight. So weighed in yesterday (before I sliced my hand open and took a wee trip to A&E!) and I'm very happy with the results so far: Weight: Loss of 0.7kg/1.5lbs since March 1st Inches: Waist: -2.25in Hips: -1in Left leg: -1.5in Right leg: -1.75in Left arm: -0.25in Right arm: -0.5in
Totalling: a loss of 7.25in
Next Project Peach report will be at the end of month and I am prone to a before and after photo so we shall see
