So here it is, Toby's arrival into the world.

I have already written a blog about how traumatic and difficult labour was for me (https://bit.ly/3e2zIIo) but I wanted to share my experience with this vlog for two reasons: the first, reviewing this footage has really helped me come to terms with the trauma of labour. I have only just felt ready to watch the footage back in the past few weeks and I feel much more at peace with what happened now as I recover, nearly 11 weeks postpartum.

Secondly, I wanted to share my experience because there have been so many birth vlogs that helped me prepare mentally for Toby's arrival (Sarah's Day and EllePearls are two fantastic vlogs to watch) but this isn't an 'ordinary' birth vlog (if there is such a thing). Covid has created such an unprecedented situation and I was truly terrified to need a hospital when lockdown was just beginning. I want to share my experience of the amazing NHS in the hopes that it brings another, maybe nervous, mama-to-be some peace and reassurance.
