We ♡ Brunch, Hello April and Holiday Dreaming...

Food is definitely one of my favourite things and we love to eat out. Belfast has some great choices for restaurants and our favourite spot for a bit of brunching is General Merchant's on the Ormeau Road.

We went yesterday and they have my favourite back on the menu:

Huevos Rochos. Im so glad as its delicious and I cant stop thinking about it (I do love my food.) Mark had the fry and the food is just incredible really worth a visit. We always take friends there when they are staying with us and last time my bestie Frankii (who was pregnant at the time) and her husband was over, we look them down and they loved it. Between Chris' nut allergy, my dairy/pork/apple intolerance and Frankii's baby bump needs you would have thought they would have hated us but they were fantastic and very accommodating!

So back to yesterday, Mark had a filter coffee which was beautiful and we both approved (Coffee snobs :)) and I had a Soy Latte. Im not that fussed on Soy, however, I do love Oat milk. Some places are coming round to it.

I went into another one of our favourite coffee shops a Sundays ago

after my Sunday morning gym session (which has somehow been temporarily replaced with a Sunday morning blog session), Established Coffee, and asked if they Soy milk and the girl behind the counter was like 'sorry we don't do Soy we only do Oat milk', and I got super excited because thank God someone actually served Oat Milk and she got really excited because someone actually knew what Oat milk was and she didnt have to explain it. It seems silly but coffee is mine and Marks 'thing' (our wedding was coffee themed what does that tell you!) so not having Dairy means I felt like I was really missing out and having to order something that I didn't really want. But with Oat milk its so delicious and creamy, it tastes better than ordinary milk and isn't crazy expensive.

Anyway, sidetracking lol brunch at GM's is our favourite and yes Im an annoying person who takes pictures of their food before they eat it so here are some lovely photos of our past favourites.

In other news (not a full Project Peach update but a mini one - so a little pip) my finger is healing but is still not 100%, however, I've decided I cant just not go to the gym for the next few weeks so I went to Spin on Wednesday with Tasha and then Nat and I did a leg workout on Thursday (omg she killed me) but Im glad I can actually do things as my finger isn't as sore/delicate.

I do love April; theres a little bit of warmth in the air, its getting lighter everyday, you can feel that Summer is on its way... also its my Birthday month! I will be 29 this year (last bday in my twenties omgggg but thats another panic for another day) and this year we are headed to York where Frankii, Chris and Daisy live and we will get to meet our beautiful Guidedaughter for the first time! I am so excited I mean look at her squishy face;

I am just so excited for cuddles ✿.

Also this month, my sister, her husband and our niece Izzy are coming over to Ireland for the Easter holidays and I am so excited for more cuddles. I love being an auntie and no before you ask it DOES NOT make me broody (but that's another subject for another day). Izzy will be 2 this Summer and she has such a fabulous personality, it'll be great to spend a couple of days with the Crossey Crew under one roof!

Summer 2016

Talking of Birthdays Mark is 30 this year and I'm trying to plan something extra special for him; a trip away somewhere (which is very hard on a Trainee budget), however, I've decided to tell him of my plans instead of keeping it a surprise as I would hate for me to take him somewhere that he's not fussed on and his big birthday be a bit flat. Also as Mark and I both get bad travel sickness (his is way worse than mine) travelling isn't always as enjoyable for him as everyone else so I wanted to make sure he'd enjoy it if we went (especially if theres a boat involved he hates boats). I was thinking of somewhere like Iceland, or an après-ski weekend away somewhere he could snowboard but Ive started seeing loads of deals for Santorini and it looks amazing so I need to get my thinking cap on and figure out how to get us away somewhere for a few days in September!

Isn't it stunning!
