# TenOnTenOff

I am really motivated at the minute, fitness wise I mean. I am loving the gym and am starting to finally see some results from the work I have done so far. Normally my motivation wanes at about 3 months in to a regime and especially after holidays when it feels like thats what I was working towards and its over now so f*ck it Im now going to eat round me. So I have decided to make a plan to make a plan (as Mark thinks I do) and I have set myself some achievable goals and 'stepping stones' over the next 12 months;

- Rome in September for Marks 30th (# TenOnTenOff)

- Christmas (#TBC)

- My 29th+1 in April (#TwentyNinePlusOne)

- Girls Holiday 2018 (#TBC)

I love projects as I think the 3-4 month time frames are perfect and I don't peak too soon (i.e. lose interest, motivation). I also realise that if I want to look the way I think I will in my head that that will take a while and work and by piecing these projects together I may actually have my dream body by the time I'm (can barely type this) 30 in April 2018.

So what is # TenOnTenOff?

Well, firstly let me explain that Mark and I are both very busy people with demanding jobs and active schedules (yes I know, making excuses already) but whenever we are on the way home after work, sports, the gym, drinks or whatever at 8/9/10 on a week night and we are both so hungry (and lets face it I'm getting Hangry), if one of us says 'Burger King' the other says 'f*ck yeah' sand we both enjoy big fat burgers with no regrets or shame. What I'm trying to say is we are as bad as each other whenever we are hungry and fast, tasty food is but 5 minutes from our front door. We have even tried chang our routes home to not drive by the chippy!

So we decided to keep each other on track; I want to be healthier, fitter and lose weight and Mark... well he has the magical 'Andrew Metabolism' and I swear to God if we could bottle it and sell it we would make millions. He is very sporty (3-4 times a week he's out playing some sort of Rugby/Badminton/Surfing) and he can at times struggle to keep the weight on so this started off as a 'we'll keep each other right on the whole 'no take-out thing'' to what we now call Project #TenOnTenOff. We are working together because I want to lose at least 10bs and Mark wants to gain at least 10lbs.

(# AtLeastTenOnAndAtLeastTenOff wasn't as catchy).

We have given ourselves a time frame from today until September as that's when Mark turns 30 and its 70-odd days until we go to Rome. So far we have both started calorie counting and macro watching on MyFitnessPal, researched and purchased the requisite Protein powders, have made some batches of Overnight Oats and its has actually been quite fun so far. I've been to the gym twice already and we've not been home 48 hours.

My plan is very fundamental at the minute and I'm hoping to build on it. My POA is to go to the gym in the morning Monday - Thursday and do 4 different workouts on each morning; butt, abs, arm and legs. Then on Sunday I do a super 2 hour gym session which has cardio and a bit of everything thrown in there whilst Mark is playing touch rugby. I really enjoy going to the gym with my friend Natalie in the evenings so I might annoy/join her some evening too.

Yesterday was tough going but it's is always hard when you come back from holidays. I did swim a bit when we were away but not enough. I've found my rhythm a bit with my arm workout and Sundays are my favourite as the gym is nearly empty.

So that's it for the first #TenOnTenOff post. Im going to weigh in/measure tomorrow morning for my before figures. As Sam on Love Island says 'watch this space...'
