Weekly Report

I was furious when I stood on the scales yesterday morning, like absolutely fuming. I have PUT ON WEIGHT and what is so frustrating is that this week I felt like I was finally taking steps forward with my diet. I haven't had a muffin at all this past week although I did have a Chinese take away on Saturday night which is the first take away I'd had in a month. It actually made me feel a bit ill and put me off wanting another one for a while.


We did also have our 10th anniversary dinner at Ox on Friday night. It was a 5 course tasting menu (and I only had two glasses of wine) and because it was a tasting menu we left a little bit hungry but apart from that I've been so good all week so I really don't understand and its really demoralizing. Last week was also the first week that I stopped properly calorie counting as well so I am SOOOOO back on that. I'm going to snap all my food this week to keep me accountable. Damn it I will lose weight this week.


I am REALLY trying to not dwell on this gain, the scales are just a number and do not define me (insert Moana moment here) so onwards and upwards and I just need to focus and work harder.






October Challenge

Last week I was only able to find energy to do 2 of 5 yoga abs on the week days but I managed to catch up on the weekend but that totally defeats the purpose of the challenge and it makes me resent what I'm doing so I came up with a new plan of action which not only helps me fitness-wise but also financially.


I'm going to do my yoga abs on my lunch break; there is enough room in my new office so I bought myself a yoga mat and a small medicine ball and I plan to do that at lunch instead of going out and shopping!



I've also started a plank challenge as its all core strength at the end of the day and that's not going too badly atm. I need to use our gym more at home so I'm hoping to have more energy from my lunch time sessions to what to workout when I get home.




Before Photos


I was very brave over the weekend and took before photos BUT they will not see the light of day until I have my after photo and I am comfortable with how I look. In the meantime, below is the image that motivated me to get started again. I really hate how I look in this photo, i just look so wide for me and it may seem negative but when I look at it I just want to make a change so I'm going to hold onto that and go with it.
