I've had have the most amazing 30th birthday; I have begun my thirties feeling so loved, being absolutely spoilt rotten and not feeling that old at all. So what happened over my bday week? Let me tell you all my stories...

MY FIRST LOUIS VUITTON- 28 APRIL

We weren't leaving for out flight to London until 10am so we were both up early, busy getting ready with last minute bits of packing. Mark had brought me up a coffee that morning so I didn't go downstairs until about 30 minutes before we had to leave and there it was; my very first Louis Vuitton handbag and I have to admit I cried a little bit.

Mark had asked what I had wanted for my 30th a long time ago but as we were going away I wasn't expecting to receive 'my big pressie' until a while after my birthday (as we did with him) never mind get it a day early and for it to be another beautiful handbag. Its the Neverfull MM with the red interior and the Damier Ebene canvas. The Neverfull also comes in the smaller size (PM) or the much bigger size (GM) but the MM is my porridge and he (Louis) is just beautiful.

There's a YouTuber I like called Shea Whitney; she collects designer bags and her whole channel is about reviewing bags, so I'm hoping she does a video on LV care. If anyone has any tips let me know!

LONDON-BABY! 28 APRIL

So we had less than 12 hours in London town but it was amazing; our Belfast flight was delayed by 2 hours so we did end up rushing to dinner but it was all part of the fun.

We had dinner at the OXO Tower, which was fricking fabulous; the food, the cocktails, the view, the company, the chocolate birthday torte was perfect! We were on the 8th floor so it wasn't too high for me. We then went to see Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre and the show blew me away, I love the movie and seeing 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' live with a voice like that was so special.

SANTORINI 29 APRIL-3 MAY

We left for Santorini the next morning on a super early flight, but I'm doing two separate blog posts on our Santorini trip. It was just like a postcard; absolutely stunning and we had a wonderful time. It felt like we were away for weeks. You can read my full blog here and my Santorini Style blog here (if you want to, no pressure :) ).

SURPRISE BESTIE VISIT - 5 MAY

We got home from Santorini on the Thursday night, went to the movies on Friday and then I planned to spend Saturday morning just dossing and getting ready for the party that afternoon. Mark woke me early enough on the Saturday morning and said he was going to get the car washed and he might be a while. This wasn't unusual as the queue is always really long on a weekend. Franks, my rascal of a bestie and creator of FitByFrankii, was also texting me, again this was nothing unusual as we text most days. She was asking what the POA was and, again, apologising for not being able to make it. So I hopped into the shower, Mark came home and asked if I wanted a coffee downstairs. All normal stuff, the wee skits. So I walk downstairs in my towel and then this happens...

She essentially popped out of my utility room yelling SURPRISE!! I promise I have a towel on in that picture :) I had absolutely no idea and it was the best surprise ever <3 It was so lovely to see her, my birthday wouldn't have been the same without her.

Franks made this comparison picture below afterward the weekend and it really shocked me. We both decided that this year we would work to be healthier and happier and its crazy what can happen in 9 months. I'm so proud of her, she has done amazingly well and is currently training to be a Personal Trainer and launching her own business. She has found her calling and it just shows. She's just fabulous.

PARTY (AND THE CAKE!) 5 MAY

Mark had asked me if I would like to help organise my party; some people might think this is bizarre but I LOVE event/party planning so it was almost a present in itself.

We spoke to quite a few venues around Belfast and went for a show-around at Babel and immediately booked it; they showed us a private room between the main part and the beer garden and it was perfect. It was a great size, has its own private bar, had a great view and its main colour theme was green. Babel waived the room hire for us and their menu had a great selection of canapés. The staff were FANTASTIC, the manager was called Rachael and Glenda was behind the bar and they were so accommodating the whole night. We had picked up the decorations from Sostrene Grene, the bunting was only £3 or £4 per string and the balloons were fabulous; they aren't helium so they were super handy to carry in and blow up.

It was amazing having most of my friends and family there. I got a Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 for my birthday and I love it, we took it on holiday and I'm going to make a massive scrap book with all the Santorini and party photos.

My dress for the party was the Plunge Neck Structured Dress in green from Vestry and it was stunning, another great choice by Mr. Andrew <3

Now the cake, Mark had ordered with with Gemma's Cakes and it was stunning. It feed everyone at least 2 slices each (I think we had about 45-50 ppl at one point). It was a Nutella cake with a butter scotch centre and Ferrero Rocher's on top! The attention to detail was insane with the marble finish and the gold leaf, it was exactly what I wanted! Thank you Gemma <3

I often think I saved a village in a former life and my reward now is Mark and I'm deadly serious when I say this. He is such an amazing human being, so handsome with a beautiful soul and I am so unbelievably thankful that we fell in love and I get to spend my whole life with him as his wife. He has made this birthday the best ever, beyond what I could have dreamed for turning 30. He really is the fricking best <3
