Project Indigo

I AM SO FRICKING EXCITED! I have finally started my new Summer project...

I always try to pick a project name that's meaningful and reflective of my goals and/or the programme that I'm doing. There are two reasons behind the name Indigo, which is, of course, somewhere between blue and purple.

First, I'm all about the blues at the minute; from painting our master bedroom sapphire blue, to taking the Summer box out of the attic and all of the accents of blue around the house, from our Santorini blue to this artist I'm obsessed called Julia Contacessi, it's my colour of the Summer and it makes me ridiculously happy and motivated.

Secondly, Frankii (the bestie) is well on her way to becoming a PT and has just passed her Level 2's. She is smashing it atm and I'm so proud of her. We used to watch Biggest Loser years ago and there were two sisters on it (Olivia and Hannah) who were Team Purple, we loved them on the show so we sort of adopted the colour. Purple holds a very special place in my heart because of Frankii and I am so fortune that I have my best friend designing a programme for me for Project Indigo. I wanted this project to reflect my friendship with her as well and how much I will (and do) appreciate her support, expertise and guidance. She's going to kick my assssssssss.

I started Project Indigo properly yesterday with the goal of a cheeky week in Spain in September, so that's approximately 100 days until our next holiday. My plan of action is to follow my January plan until the end of June then to start Frankii's new programme at the beginning of July and follow it through until we go away.

My January plan was very much self written but it worked for me*; I have 2 eggs in the morning, fruit and peanut butter as my AM snack, a Shake for lunch (The ProteinWorks Vegan Meal Replacement works great for me) another snack in the afternoon and then different dinners every night. Dinners will include at least two chicken meals, two fish meals and two beef meals per week with lots of salad and rice and even some sneaky pasta. On a Wednesday I swap my shake and my dinner, so I'll have a balanced Marksies meal for lunch and then my shake for tea. I'm going to do some HIIT workouts that Franks has posted and I've screenshot, just so that I'm doing something structured.

All in all, I'm very excited and motivated and the Week 1 results blog will be up next Monday, so watch this space.

Indigo is a go go.
