Pretty Little Potato: L I P S T I C K
Welcome to my first beauty blog! I love to get lipsticks at airports; that is so completely random but I adore getting new lipstick at a beginning of a trip and then every time I wear it, it makes me feel happy and I'm reminded of that holiday memory. Mark knows that every airport we go to, I'm headed for the Mac counter!
I wasn't always into lipstick but over the last 3 years I have acquired about 20 different shades and below are some of my favourites. I have a thin top lip, which I hated for a long time but I have learned that with the right lip preparation I can make my lips looks much fuller without the filler.

MAC COLLECTION - £16

In matte I have the shades Whirl and Velvet Teddy;
Whirl is definitely my go to on a night out and I love to wear it in Autumn and at the beginning of Winter.
Velvet Teddy is one of my day to day shades and the pinky tone actually suits me. I really struggle when it comes to very pinky pinks, they can make me look like a clown but Velvet Teddy is just perfect.
Satin finish

Mocha- I love to wear this colour in the summer and I wear it a lot when we are in Spain. It has an orange tang to it and its perfect for outfits with blush pink or lighter Summer colours.

Creme in your Coffee was my first ever Mac lipstick and it is the perfect dinner date shade. I also love to wear it in the Autumn as it has quite a brown tone to it. Its definitely one of my favourites.
I have a Mac liner in the shade Mahogany and I love this product so much, mainly for its duality; I use it as a lip liner and an eye liner. My eyes are green to the red tones really make the colour pop!

I have two classic reds and of course they had to be Chanel. The Rouge Allure- 104 Passion is one of Chanels most popular lippys (and was a fabulous birthday pressie) and the Rouge Allure- No. 1 was a Christmas Special. Rouge Allure- No. 1 is a red that suits every skin tone, which is quite a statement to make but it really does. I find reds the hardest colour to shop for but these Chanel are the perfect investment lippys. The only down side to reds are that you have to top up constantly.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY -£24

I originally went into CT to purchase the shade Pillowtalk, but the lighter pink didnt compliment my skin tone so I ended up getting the Very Victoria (apparently a favourite of Meghan Markle). I use this as an everyday lipstick and it is perfect for all outfits, all seasons, all occasions really.

BOBBI BROWN - £27
Your Majesty - This is a December lipstick for me as its a beautiful dark red wine, perfect for Christmas and seasonal parties. Its very glam and very smooth to apply.

AVON - £9
I have recently purchased the Avon Anew Lip Plumping Conditioner with Double Retinol Lipstick as I wanted something more substantial to condition and moisturise my lips, I think years of doing the duck pout have created tiny little lines and as we know I'm at wrinkle war atm! It does leave a pale colour on my lips which can make you look a bit silly if you forget to put lipstick on and I don't think its really plumping my lips per say, I know you can purchase other lipsticks that tingle and make your lips swell but it doesn't do that.

MY MORNING LIPSTICK ROUTINE
- Brush Teeth first- and brush lips
- Apply the Avon conditioner
- Apply lip liner and the smudge lip liner into my lips
- Put on lippy at work, after I've gotten out of the car so I can kiss Mark goodbye.
